Sharon Contillo is a Rhode Island-based producer, screenwriter, and author currently developing The Hello Girls, a prestige historical feature film about the 223 American women who served as the U.S. Army Signal Corps' first female telephone operators in World War I France.

 

She has built her producing career alongside a 29-year Fortune 100 career at IBM, earning the IBM Golden Circle (top global performer, 2023).

 

Through Middle Center Productions, she develops compelling stories with female leads that balance artistic integrity with commercial viability across feature films, short films, and children's content.

THE HELLO GIRLS

THE HELLO GIRLS | Prestige Historical Feature Film | Written and Produced by Sharon Contillo

In 1917, 223 American women were recruited to serve as bilingual telephone operators in WWI France. They served under fire, were denied veteran status for 60 years, and were written out of every history book. Their story has never been told as a narrative feature film. Now in active development.

Ornaments Belonging | A Children's Picture Book | by Sharon Contillo

Little Billy is a styrofoam gingerbread ornament who hangs on the back of the tree, year after year. He dreams of being seen by humans and is desperate to feel like he belongs to the team of ornaments that bring Christmas joy to their family. After all, an ornament’s sole purpose is to be seen and evoke all the wonderful Christmas memories for their human family. But someone wants to stop Billy from sneaking to the front of the tree and will do anything to prevent him from obtaining his dream to belong.
